Tranquility Birth and Beyond

Our approach

Helping, supporting, and educating high-risk pregnancies and NICU families. We believe every person on this journey deserves to be fully supported both physically and emotionally. Helping facilitates families in navigating high-risk pregnancy, childbirth, postpartum, and the NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit). As a doula and coach, we offer a safe space where you can express your deepest and most intimated feelings or concerns in all areas. Offering a non-judgmental ear and understanding with a non-bias mindset. Educating on evidence-base information, making you confident in and during parental, and postnatal decisions and navigating this new stage in life. As a coach we will help you navigate through any anxieties, worries, and plan of care during your pregnancy though postpartum.

Support and Guidance

We teach and guide you and your (support) partner on the topics and stages in high -risk pregnancy, birth, postpartum, NICU, recovery, and each milestone of your newborn’s development. Facilitating evidence-based information about different options and strategies to help you advocate and be prepared for your birth, postpartum, and NICU journey. As a doula and coach, I’m an unbiased resource. NEVER a source. These are not medical advice and I am not a medical professional but a certified specialist.

It is important to note that my job as your Doula is NOT to speak for you or your partner (should you have one) in the birth space, but to provide you the information, educate, validation, and support in the need area to effectively advocate for you and your family no matter the birth in home or hospital birth.

“I feel every mother deserves to be prepared, supported, and guided throughout her journey in motherhood from the moment she becomes pregnant to the moment she is home with baby. There is nothing more beautiful than a woman who feels heard, supported, and safe.” - Maria Hosny

Transforming Motherhood

When I was first faced with the thought that I was going to have a premature baby I was anxious, lost, and felt alone. I have had three NICU babies and each came with their own experience. What got me here was that there was the lack of support for families and even more after you come home with a NICU baby. You struggle of having a NICU baby the breastfeeding struggles, the fact you walk out of the hospital empty handed, you are still recovering from birth but don’t have your baby at home. The trips to the hospital. Then I was diagnosed with a high-risk pregnancy which ended up being induced. All the classes I use to see and take did not talk much about these high-risk pregnancies or talked about all natural (whatever that is) birth with no medication unless it was a c-section. This is why I am here. As a mother and certified professional with experience and expert knowledge to help you navigate this new and unknown territory. This journey of motherhood with a high-risk pregnancy and NICU baby I was once in your shoes. The excitement of being pregnant overruns you. Then you are faced with a high-risk pregnancy or a NICU baby and things quickly change to anxiety, worry, guilt, and lack of support.

Being diagnosed with a high-risk pregnancy means many visits to the OB, and specialist. It can be scary and overwhelming when providers say do you have any questions you are left with so much information to process you say no. Once you get home you are thinking aback and questioning it all. Googling or even asking in mom groups for support and are left feeling worse. In some instances, robbing you of the joys of pregnancy and postpartum. Asking yourself why this is happening to you and your baby was there something you did or is wrong with you.

I am here to support you and your growing family. Guiding and supporting you to help overcome the unknown of pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum with my effective methods of coaching, and evidence-based information. Giving a piece of mind and making it feel less scary and lonely. Preparing you for a great journey ahead give google a break and become confident in childbirth and beyond.

“I am so grateful to find Maria. In my country of Brazil in my city the resources for prenatal health are limited. She helped me gain control of my emotions once I was diagnosed with a complicated pregnancy. With the work we did together she helped me talk to my doctors and my family about what I need to have a pregnancy I want. Her techniques were so effective I still use them after pregnancy. I wish I could of had Maria in my delivery room to calm me and to help with my worries while in labor.”
